League MVP Steph Curry had not had the big game many expected to see from him in the NBA Finals...until Sunday night. With the series tied, Curry dropped 37 points, nailing 7 three pointers as his Golden State Warriors defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 104-91 in game 5 of the NBA Finals, taking a 3-2 series lead.

"They were trapping a lot in the pick and roll," said Curry to ABC reporter Doris Burke following the win. "When I get an opportunity at a one on one I've got to be real aggressive, get them (the defender) off balance, shoot a three and make the shot."

He made many, but so did Cavaliers superstar LeBron James, who finished with a game-high 40 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists for another triple-double. However, he didn't get enough help as Cleveland had no answer for Curry and company, who controlled the pace in a game 5 that was dominated by small lineups.

Golden State's 18 fast break points topped Cleveland's 3, as the fast pace favored the Warriors offense who slowly wore down James and the Cavs.

"He has the ball in his hands a lot and makes big shots. You have to stick with the program and don't get discouraged if he makes some shots," said Curry of James. "Over the course of 48 minutes we hope to wear him down in the 4th quarter and make it tough on him."

Warriors forward Andre Igoudala has been the most consistent player on his team throughout the Finals, and Sunday was no exception as the Olympic gold medalist played superb defense, adding 14 points as well.

"Andre was brilliant again tonight," said Warriors head coach Steve Kerr. "He does everything for us. He's our best defender on LeBron. He's an incredible decision maker (as evidenced by his ) 7 assists and no turnovers. He rebounds. He guards everybody...a brilliant defensive player."

The series shifts back to Cleveland for game 6, with an opportunity for the Warriors to end the series.

"We're all out here just trying to compete," said Curry. "Hopefully on Tuesday we can hold the trophy and be proud of that."

Tip-off from Quicken Loans Arena on Tuesday night is set for 8:10.
