Former New Orleans Hornet and current Indiana Pacer David West was playing around with Cavaliers mascot "Moondog" before a game against Cleveland this week. As many Hornets fans know, West loves to box, and considers it one of his favorite hobbies. Apparently, his left hook isn't that playful, as Moondog went to the hospital after taking the punch.

Jason Lloyd of the Akron Beacon quoted David West as being very apologetic.

"I feel terrible about that, I really do," West said. "We were just having fun right before the game. We were just messing around. I really hope he's OK. Make sure he knows I'm sorry."

Here is a little advice to Moondog. Don't pick fake fights with boxers. It's not going to end well. For anyone that cares, Moondog was treated for his eye injury and is reportedly going to be fine.

You can watch the knockout below, though it's difficult to see. Just be glad you can watch it. Thanks to West's mean left hook, Moondog is watching this video with only one eye open.
