The mark of Michigan had been scoring early and scoring often but on Tuesday the Vanderbilt freshman Kumar Rocker shut down the Wolverine offense and limited them to just one run over 6.1 innings pitched. In addition, he allowed just three hits, two walks and struck out 11.

Tyler Brown finished up this game for Vandy and he was lights out pitching 2.2 innings allowing just one hit, one walk, and two strikeouts for the save.

As for Michigan, it was Isiah Paige who got the start and he was solid for the four innings he pitched allowing just one unearned run and struck out five.

In total, MU used six pitchers and Benjamin Keizer gave up two runs in 1.1 innings pitched.

Offensively for the Commodores, they collected six hits including an RBI hit from Phillip Clarke and an RBI from Austin Martin. They scored all their runs in the middle innings including two on wild pitches.

With the win, Vanderbilt forces a game three on Wednesday that will decide the winner of the College Baseball World Series.
