Congratulations are in order for a couple of people who had a lot to do with the softball success of the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns last season.

The USSSA Pride defeated the Chicago Bandits, 8-2, on Saturday night, to complete a three-game sweep in Cowles Cup, to win the National Pro Fastpitch championship, and two individuals with ties to the Cajuns were a part of the winning squad.

The Pride won Game 1, 3-0, and Game 2, 5-4, before completing the sweep in Game 3.

UL head coach Gerry Glasco coached the Pride this summer, while Keeli Milligan, who set a school record with 60 stolen bases last season, was a member of their championship roster.

For the Pride, it was their their second-consecutive championship, and 5th, overall, as an organization.
