UL junior outfielder Caleb Adams

 

The Los Angeles Angels selected Louisiana Ragin' Cajun junior outfielder Caleb Adams in the tenth round, with pick number 299, on the second day of the Major League Baseball First Year Player Draft on Friday.

A native of Texarkana, Texas, Adams is hitting a .387 as a junior in 2014, which leads the team, along with a team-leading 11 home runs, 42 runs batted in, and six stolen bases.

A first team All-Sun Belt Conference selection, Adams, also has 17 doubles, seven triples, and 66 runs scored, heading into this weekend's NCAA Super Regional series against the Ole Miss Rebels.

The 6-foot, 185-pound Adams hit a .329 in 2013, his first as a Cajun, to go along with 16 homers, 55 RBI's, and three steals.
