Louisiana Ragin' Cajun outfielder/second baseman Kelli Milligan is near the top in one national statistic.

The senior from Vidor, Texas is off a running in a big way in 2019.

Through Louisiana's first 18 games, Milligan has stolen 24 bases in 24 tries.

That ranks Milligan second in the nation, trailing only Jaquelyn Ramon, of Southeastern Louisiana, who has swiped 31 bases through 20 games.

LSU's Aliyah Andrews (21) and Loyola Chicago's Jessica Shields (20) are the other players in the country to reach 20 stolen bases so far this season.

Milligan is also on pace to eclipse a school record that has stood for over 25 years.

Back in 1992, Dorsey Steamer stole 51 bases for the Cajuns, a school record that still stands today.

Milligan has been fun to watch in the early portion of the 2019 campaign, and the final two-thirds of the season should be no different.
