The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns will be without one of their services of Durey Caldwell, one of their newcomers, for the entire 2019-2020 college basketball season.

A swingman, Caldwell signed a Grant-in-Aid to join Louisiana back in May.

The 6-foot-5, 185-pound Caldwell, who played last season at Dayton St. (Florida) College, will redshirt this season, and then will still have three years of eligibility remaining at Louisiana, beginning in the 2020-2021 season.

After originally signing with Buffalo, Caldwell went to Daytona St. College, where he averaged 7.9 points, to go along with 3.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists-per-game.

A native of Houston, Texas, Cadwell averaged 16 points, five rebounds, and six assists as a senior, helping Klein Forest High School to a combined 62-7 record in his final two years of play.
