Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun women's basketball team fell on the road in Sun Belt Conference action on Saturday afternoon, dropping a 72-36 decision to the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders, in a match-up played in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Middle Tennessee dominated the first half, leading 46-13 at halftimef, before outscoring Louisiana, 26-23, in the second half, to coast to the 36-point win.

The Blue Raiders out-shot the Cajuns from the field 44%-25%, and also finished with a 50-34 rebound advantage.

Icelyn Elie Rowe led Middle Tennessee, scoring a game-high 20 points, along with nine rebounds, while Lauren March added 13 points and four boards.

In a losing cause for Louisiana, Robbie Brown had 9 points, while Adrienne Prejean paced the way on the boards, pulling down nine rebounds.

With the victory, the Blue Raiders improved to 13-5 overall, and 8-1 in Sun Belt Conference play, while the Cajuns, who lost their sixth-consecutive game, fell to 7-12 overall, and 1-9 in league play.

Louisiana returns to action on Wednesday, January 23, when they host FIU.
