The Louisiana Ragin' Cajun women's basketball team will have to get used to playing on the road over the next month, as they'll play a grand total of one home game over the next 34 days.

Louisiana, who is currently 6-3 on the season, returns to the hardwood tonight, when they travel to Oxford, Mississippi, to take on the Ole Miss Rebels in a non-conference match-up, the first game of 7 of their next 8 away from home.

Tipoff time is scheduled for 7 o'clock, and you can hear all the play-by-play action on ESPN 1420, espn1420.com, and the ESPN 1420 mobile app, beginning with the pregame show at 6:45 pm.

After a little time off for Christmas, the Cajuns travel to Jackson, Mississippi on Sunday, December 29, for a  non-conference tilt with Jackson St.

Louisiana then opens up Sun Belt Conference play by playing five of their first 6 on the road, including games against Georgia St. (Jan. 2) and Georgia Southern (Jan. 4), before finally returning home on Thursday, January 9, when they host South Alabama.

The Cajuns concluded their tough stretch of road games with contests against Troy (Jan. 11), UTA (Jan. 16), and Texas St. (Jan. 18).

Now, things even out for Louisiana after that, as they'll play a stretch of 6 of 7 games at home, but this stretch is one that can make or break a season for a squad as young as UL's, with only one senior.

This team has improved tremendously from a season ago, but to continue their winnings ways, they need to play .500 basketball over the next 8 games.

A 2-6 stretch would slow down their current momentum, and put a little bit of a damper on their fine start.

On the other hand; a 6-2 stretch would make their quick start even more impressive, and solidify them as a conference contender.

These next 8 games, beginning tonight, against an SEC team, may very well define the 2019-2020 season for Louisiana.,
