Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun softball team is up one spot, to number three, in the second college softball ratings percentage index (RPI) rankings, was released by the NCAA on Monday.

Louisiana won all four of their five games last week, splitting a non-conference doubleheader with Baylor in Waco, Texas last Tuesday, before sweeping a three-game Sun Belt Conference series from the Texas St. Bobcats over the weekend.

The Cajuns are currently 29-3, overall, and 10-1 in conference play.

This week, Louisiana travels to Atlanta, Georgia, to take on the Georgia St. Panthers in a three-game league series this weekend.

The Michigan Wolverines, who are 27-3 on the season, top the RPI rankings, followed by Florida, Louisiana, Alabama, and James Madison in the top five.

Oregon is ranked sixth, followed by Washington, Auburn, Missouri, and Baylor at 6-10, respectively.

The second ten this week consists of Florida St., Oklahoma, Texas A&M, LSU, and UCLA in spots 11-15, with Kentucky, Georgia, Arizona, Tennessee, and South Florida in the 16-20 positions.

Finally, at 21-25 this week, it’s South Carolina, Minnesota, Fresno St., Arizona St., and Utah.

In the Sun Belt Conference, Louisiana ranks first, followed by South Alabama (44), Georgia St. (56), Texas St. (57), Troy (58), UT-Arlington (59), Georgia Southern (109), ULM (176), and Appalachian St. (213).
