As is normally the case, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns are drawing extremely well for their respective home games at Lamson Park.

Louisiana currently ranks 9th in the nation in the latest college softball attendance figures.

UL, who is 19-3 on the season, including an unbeaten 12-0 home record, has drawn 12,326 fans.

That figure ranks fifth, after five weeks of play.

The figure does not include Louisiana's home game Monday night against Baylor.

The Cajuns return home this weekend, when they play host to Troy in a three-game, weekend, Sun Belt Conference series.

Auburn, who 31.927 fans, through 17 home games, ranks number one in the country, followed by Alabama, who has drawn 28,983 through 14 home games.

Texas A&M ranks third on the list, having drawn 27,348 through 20 games, with Arizona checking in fourth, after drawing 23,645 through 14 home games.

LSU ranks 5th on the list, having drawn 22,149 fans through 17 home dates

In terms of average attendance, Louisiana against ranks 9th, averaging 1,121 fans a game, one of only 12 schools in the nation that are averaging more than 1,000 fans.

Alabama ranks at the top in that department, averaging 2,070 fans per home contest.

This is nothing new, as the Cajuns typically draw among the best programs in the nation, ranking in the top ten in attendance the last two years.
