The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns will play host to the defending NCAA softball national champions next season.

The Florida St. Seminoles, who defeated the Washington Huskies on Tuesday night, 8-3, and won the best-of-3 game championship series in Women's College World Series, 2-0, will be coming to Lamson Park in 2019.

Before it began, people asked me who I was pulling for in the WCWS, and I truthfully didn't know.

The more I thought about it however, the more I thought it would be kind of cool if Florida St. won, as I knew they would be coming to Lafayette in 2019.

Now, that will indeed be the case.

Florida St. swept a doubleheader from Louisiana in Tallahassee, Florida in 2018, winning by scores of 8-0 and 7-1.

The two schools agreed to a home-and-home series prior to last season.

No date or time is know for next season's UL/FSU match-up is know at this time, as the Cajuns' 2019 schedule has yet to be released.

Whenever they do play next season, Lamson Park is sure to be loud, as Louisiana hosts the defending national champions.
