The 10th-ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajun softball team kept their 2012 record perfect on Tuesday night, by defeating the McNeese St. Cowgirls, 6-0, in non-conference action at Lamson Park.

The win, the 23rd-consecutive victory to begin 2012, sets a new school record for most victories to begin a season.

Christi Orgeron paced Louisiana at the plate, blasting a three-run homer, her tenth of the year.

Freshman Jordan Wallace (11-0) picked-up the win in the circle, while Meagan Bond (9-6) suffered the loss.

With the win, the Cajuns moved to 23-0 on the season, while the Cowgirls fell to 15-8.
