The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajun softball team climbed a couple of spots in the latest ESPN.COM/USA Softball Collegiate Top 25 Poll, which was released on Tuesday.

Louisiana, who defeated nationally-ranked Texas A&M, 11-9, last Wednesday, before sweeping a three-game Sun Belt Conference from Georgia St. last weekend, to move to 36-6 on the season, is up two spots, to #16, in this week’s poll.

UL returns to action this weekend playing host to the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers in a three-game Sun Bet Conference series this weekend at Lamson Park, representing the final home games of the season.

The Florida Gators are once again the top-ranked team in this week’s poll, followed by the Arizona Wildcats, Florida St. Seminoles, Texas A&M Aggies, and the Minnesota Golden Gophers to round out the top five.

Oregon is number six this week, while Oklahoma, Tennessee, Washington, and Auburn complete the top ten.

Utah, UCLA, Baylor, Alabama, and James Madison occupy spots 11-15, with Louisiana, Michigan, LSU, Kentucky, and BYU at 16-20.

Finally, at 21-25, Ole Miss, Illinois, Arizona St., California, and Georgia are ranked, respectively.
