UL Softball Begins Season In Ragin’ Cajuns Classic

The 15th-ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns begin their 2019 regular season schedule on Thursday, as they play host to a field of five teams in the Ragin' Cajuns Classic.

Louisiana, who will play six game in the event, will take on Fordham at 5 o'clock on Thursday in the season opener for both teams.

The UL/Fordham match-up will represent the only one of the day at Lamson Park.

On Friday, four teams will be in action, with four games on the schedule, including the Cajuns, who will play twice.

Play begins on Friday at 9 am, with Fordham taking on Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, followed by Incarnate Word/Fordham at 11:30 am, Louisiana/Incarnate Word at 2 pm, and Louisiana/Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at 4:30 pm.

All five teams will be in action on Saturday, the only day of the event in which that is the case.

Play begins on Saturday at 9 am, with Fordham meeting Incarnate Word, followed by California/Fordham at 11:30 am, Incarnate Word/Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at 2 pm, and Louisiana/Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at 4:30 pm.

The Cajuns have the day off on Sunday, which will feature two games on the schedule.

Play begins on Sunday at 10:30, with California battling Incarnate Word, before Cal matches-up against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at 1 pm.

On Monday, the final day of the event, Louisiana and California will play a doubleheader, beginning at 4 pm.
