Reports out this week suggest that Mark Hudspeth and the UL Ragin Cajuns Football program has offered a 14-year-old boy a scholarship to play ball at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

The Advertiser reports that UL has offered the scholarship to a young man in Mississippi, who has yet to play down of high school football.

The Sun Herald of Biloxi, Mississippi says that McKinnley Jackson, a 6-foot-1, 272-pound defensive lineman from George County High has been offered a scholarship to play for the Cajuns.

If you're expecting Coach Hudspeth to discuss the offer, keep waiting. NCAA rules do not allow coaches to discuss potential scholarship offers.

The offer was made during a football camp in Ocean Springs, Mississippi.

Too soon? Or good offer by the Cajuns?
