It's looking like a cold and wet Saturday on the first day of December, as the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns travel to Boone, North Carolina, to take on the Appalachian St.Mountaineers  in the Sun Belt Conference Football Championship.

This will mark the inaugural title game for the league, as Louisiana, who finished in first place in the western division, take on Appalachian St., who finished atop the east.

The snow that was in Boone, North Carolina earlier in the week will all be gone, but playing conditions will be far less than ideal.

The weather experts are calling for rain and cold temperatures, as the two schools battle to decide supremacy in the Sun Belt Conference.

Temperatures will be in the mid 40's in the morning, and won't warm up much, if at all, throughout the day, with an afternoon high expected to peak at only 48.

With the wind blowing at about 8 mph, temperatures will feel even colder than that.

Worst of all, it looks like rain may hamper the game.

After only a 10% chance of getting wet to start the day, rain chances increase to 50% at 11 am (EDT), before increasing to 60% right around kickoff, which is set for noon (EDT), and then 70% at 2 pm.

Appalachian St. is 9-2 on the season, including a 7-1 league mark, while Louisiana, will enter at 7-5, and 5-3, respectively.

The Cajuns, who have won three-straight, and four of their last five, fell to Appalachian St. earlier in the season, 27-17.
