Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun men’s basketball team returns to the hardwood on Wednesday evening, when coach Bob Marlin’s squad travels to New Orleans, Louisiana to take on the UNO Privateers in non-conference action.

The game will mark the final game of a short two-game road trip for Louisiana, who returns to the Cajundome on Tuesday, December 20, when they host Pepperdine.

Tipoff time at the Lakefront Arena is scheduled for 2 pm.

The Cajuns, who fell to Georgia, 73-60, on Thursday night, has won 8 of their last 9 games, and are 8-3 on the young season.

Louisiana is outscoring the opposition, 87.4/72.6, and outshooting them, 48%/45%, while also holding down a 40.9/31.5 rebound advantage.

The Cajuns are paced by junior guard Frank Bartley, who is averaging 18.4 points and 4.3 rebounds, and junior forward Bryce Washington, who is averaging 14.9 points, to go along with 11.8 rebounds.

UNO lost to Northwestern, 83-49, last Sunday, to fall to 4-4 on the season.

The Privateers are being outscored by opponents, 76.0/72.5, while outshooting them, 46%/45%, and holding down a 37.3/33.9 rebounding edge.

UNO is led by senior forward Erik Thomas, who is averaging 20.5 points and 7.8 rebounds-per-game, and senior guard Christavious Gill, who is at 13.5 and 3.3, respectively.
