UL Baseball Squares Off With South Alabama – Preview
Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns baseball meets an old rival on Friday night, as coach Tony Robichaux's squad travels to Mobile, Alabama, to take on the South Alabama Jaguars, in the opening game of a three-game, weekend, Sun Belt Conference series.
Louisiana is 17-19 overall this year, and 6-9 in Sun Belt Conference play, while South Alabama sits at 14-23 overall, and 8-7 in league play.
Senior right-hander Jordan Nicholson (3-4, 4.09 era) will get the start for the Cajuns in the series opener, while the Jaguars are expected to counter with senior left-hander Phillip Byrd (3-2, 5.10 era).
Game times for the series are 6:30 pm on both Friday and Saturday nights, with a 1 o'clock first-pitch on Sunday afternoon.
