Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun baseball team took an 8-7 lead into the final inning of their weekend series against Troy

Unfortunately, the Trojans got 3 runs in the ninth inning to win 10-8 on Sunday at the Tigue, thus stealing the series from UL. It marks the first-ever series loss to Troy at M.L. “Tigue” Moore Field.

UL pounded out 11 base hits, marking the eighth time in the past 11 games the squad has reached double figures.

Chase Compton went 2-for-3 at the plate to register his team-leading 17th multi-hit game.

Freshmen Jace Conrad finished with 3 hits, the third game this season he's reached that number.

With the loss, Louisiana falls to 21-25 overall, and 9-15 in Sun Belt Conference play.
