Finally, an overpowering performance at the College World Series.

Florida's Jackson Kowar scattered five hits over 6.2 innings and struck out 13, leading top seeded Florida to a 6-1 win over Texas, eliminating the Longhorns from the College World Series Tuesday afternoon at TD Ameritrade Park.  Kowar threw 121 pitches, 77 for strikes and walked two.

Jonathan India provided the muscle for the Gators, getting Florida on the board in the first inning with an RBI single, and then nailing Chase Shugart for a three run homer which gave the Gators a 5-0 lead.

Florida will now advance to play the loser of the game between Arkansas and Texas Tech.  That game was postponed because of weather and will be played Wednesday at 11:00 am.
