Three Cajuns Taken in Final Day of MLB Draft

Three Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns, along with a couple of Cajuns' signees, have been taken in the final day of the Major League Baseball Draft.

Junior RHP Reagan Bazar was taken by San Francisco in the 17th round, IF Stefan Trosclair was drafted as a first baseman in the 20th round by the St. Louis Cardinals and senior RHP Eric Carter was taken in the 26th round, also by St. Louis.

Bazar has a career record of 5-0 with seven saves and a 2.48 ERA in 54.1 innings.  Trosclair amassed a .307 career average in two seasons with 23 home runs and 82 RBI.  Carter, who was a mainstay in the Cajuns' bullpen in 2016, finished with a record of 7-3 with four saves and a 2.62 ERA.  He struck out 86 in just 72. innings of work.

In addition, two Cajuns' signees were selected; OF Todd Lott was taken in the 20th round by Cincinnati and C Handsome Monica was a 33rd round pick by Atlanta.
