There are only five games Saturday involving Sun Belt schools.  Two of them are conference games.  Four teams:  Georgia Southern, Arkansas State, Idaho and South Alabama won't play Saturday, but the Red Wolves and Jags will clash next Tuesday night

Here's what's happening this week:

OUTSIDE THE LEAGUE

NEW MEXICO STATE (0-4, 0-1) at OLE MISS(-43)--11am SEC Network --The Aggies blew leads in their last two games against traditional rivals and, as punishment, have to go to Ole Miss to take on a Rebels' squad whose offense got dismantled at Florida last week. New Mexico State might be able to get a score or two.  But Ole Miss will score.  A lot.  Remember the back to back 70 point games the Rebels had earlier in the season?

TROY (1-3, 0-1) at MISSISSIPPI STATE (30.5) - 3pm, SEC Network --Neal Brown's squad has had to run the gauntlet in non league games this year (NC State, Wisconsin) and now Mississippi State.  The Bulldogs are coming off a loss last week.  Troy has been much better on defense than they were a year ago, holding three of their four opponents under 30 points.  The surprise has been a weaker than expected offense.  I have a feeling Brown's bunch will get this thing figured out before the year ends.  It will not, however, be this week.

UL MONROE (1-3, 0-1) at TULSA (-9.5) 5pm, ESPN3 -  Playing with a heavy heart, the Warhawks played out of sorts for a good part of their game with Georgia Southern before scoring late to make the score somewhat respectable.  This line has jumped a bunch, having opened at about a touchdown.  The Golden Hurricane have scored at least 24 points in every game they've played.  They've also given up quite a few.  Can ULM generate enough offense with Rashad Ceasar out for a second straight week?

SUN BELT GAMES

APPALACHIAN STATE (3-1, 0-0) at GEORGIA STATE (1-3, 1-0) (+16), 2:30 ESPN3 -- It's the first conference game for the Mountaineers who have won the games they were supposed to win in non-conference play.  Nothing but league games from here on out as they travel to Atlanta to take on a Panthers' squad that lost to FCS Liberty a week ago.  Nick Arbuckle has put up some big numbers for Georgia State but they'll have a really tough time slowing down that App State offense.

TEXAS STATE (1-3, 0-0) at LOUISIANA (1-3, 0-0) (-4) 6pm ESPN3--Texas State has had two weeks to prepare and they've been doing it with a new defensive coordinator.  The Bobcats have given up points by the bushel, but a Cajuns team that has struggled to score will have to adjust on the fly, not knowing what schemes Texas State will run defensively.  The Cajuns D will have their own issues to worry about.  Tyler Jones is proving to be a very good dual threat quarterback and Robert Lowe gained 1,000 yards last year.  The Cajuns have handled the Bobcats easily the last two years.  This one should be a lot closer.

ARKANSAS STATE (2-3, 1-0) at SOUTH ALABAMA  (3-2, 1-0), Tuesday 7pm, ESPN2-After giving up 63 to NC State, The Jaguars allowed a season-low 18 to Troy last week, notching their first league win of the season.  It's the first of three prime time games for the Red Wolves, who, it appears, will finally get Fredi Knighten back.  The Red Wolves won two out of three without him, but they'll need him in this one.  Michael Gordon had over 200 yards rushing against Idaho last week.  With Knighten back, this ASU offense can be awfully good.  No line on this game yet, but it'll be played before next week's preview, so we'll include it here.
