Just last week, we were talking about The Real Superstore in Lafayette. As someone who did not live here when it was open in Acadiana, I am always surprised when people light up talking about it. JayCee Falcon from our sister station KTDY worked there and told me about the "skaters". He described them as price-checkers and runners who would, for example, get a new gallon of milk if the one that was being purchased was expired.

This morning I came across a throwback video of a Superstore in Canada where one of these "skaters" talked about his job. Bring back any memories?

The Real Superstore really left a mark on the people here. It's always great to reminisce about days gone by, but this is one topic that people go crazy over.
