Throughout the season we'll be keeping an eye on not only the Pelicans but the Top 5 in the NBA on a weekly basis, you can check out the entire list here.

The New Orleans Pelicans had an average week going 1-1 last week. After the All-Star break, the Pels got back at it with back-to-back games last Friday and Saturday. They began the weekend with a 126-111 loss on Friday to the Indiana Pacers who needed a second-half comeback in order to down New Orleans. On Saturday, they got the win at home against the Los Angeles Lakers 128-115, suck it Klutch Sports.

With the 1-1 record, last week New Orleans rose in the Weekly Power Rankings from 24th to 22nd and they're 27-34.

  1. Milwaukee Bucks (45-14)-Up one from 2
  2. Golden State Warriors (42-17)-Down one from 1
  3. Toronto Raptors (44-17)-Steady at 3
  4. Denver Nuggets (41-18)-Up one from 5
  5. Oklahoma City Thunder (38-21)-Down one from 4

This week New Orleans has four games, three of which are on the road but they get the chance to begin the week at home against the Philadelphia 76ers (38-22) on Monday at 7 pm. Then, on Wednesday they hit the road for a west coast swing that begins in L.A. to take on the Lakers (29-30) at 9:30, Pheonix on Friday to duel the Suns (11-50) at 8 pm, and they finish the week at Denver to face the Nuggets at 8 pm.
