The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns were hoping to continue their winning streak Saturday afternoon against the Loyola Marymount Lions but they couldn't overcome the Lions in game 2 of the series. The Cajuns fell 4-1 and their record is now 6-8 on the year.

The Cajuns were wanting to build off of the great performance that they they had last night where everything was working on all cylinders. The Cajuns fell behind early when the Lions took a 2-0 lead in the top of the 3rd off of a single and a triple. The Cajuns were able to get back in the game in the bottom of the 5th inning when Orynn Veillon scored after a leadoff triple thanks to a Sebastian Toro RBI ground out.

The Cajuns would get runners at 2nd and 3rd but would fail to bring them home which ultimately hurt because that was their best chance to score the rest of the night. The Lions would add 2 insurance runs in the top of the 9th before shutting the Cajuns down.

The rubber match will be tomorrow with a noon first pitch and an 11:30 pregame. The Cajuns are looking to secure their 2nd series in as many weekends. The Cajuns will stay at home for two midweek games next week against the University of New Orleans and Southern Miss before traveling to Little Rock to begin conference play.
