The Houston Texans aren't sparing any preparation as they get ready for their season opener against the Saints.

According to Texans play-by-play voice Marc Vandermeer, Houston tricked out the inside of NRG Stadium to emulate the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

The Texans put up Saints graphics in the rounds and on the big screen, but unless they can find 70,000+ raucous fans who have been indulging in adult beverages for the better part of the day and screaming at the top of their lungs, it may be hard to truly "emulate" the environment that will be confined within the walls of the Superdome come Monday.

Also, let's not forget that this will be the first game that "counts" after many fans were left with a sour taste in their mouths in last year's NFC Championship game.

Of course, the game has to be played on the field but I think the Texans will have to do a little more to truly mimic what they will be facing when they open up the season in New Orleans in primetime on Monday Night Football.
