The United States took over control of their quarterfinal game with Canada midway through the second quarter and a big 15-3 run in the third quarter turned the game into a rout as Team USA rolled, 109-67 to move into the semifinal round at the FIBA U19 World Championships in Prague, Czech Republic.

The Americans will meet Lithuania in the semi finals, who routed China today 89-58.

Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns point guard Elfrid Payton started his seventh straight game and scored in double figures for the first time, tallying ten points, all in the first half.  He was one of seven Americans to score in double figures.  Payton also had four rebounds, three assists and a pair of steals.
