TCU scored two fourth-quarter touchdowns to defeat Louisiana Tech 31-24 to win the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl at Qualcomm Stadium Wednesday night.

After the Bulldogs (8-5) scored two touchdowns off Horned Frog turnovers to take a 24-17 lead, TCU (11-2) countered with a 18 play, 72 yard drive that consumed over nine minutes.  That tied the game at 24 and after holding Louisiana Tech to a three-and-out on their next possession, TCU then drove for the winning score, with quarterback Casey Paschall hitting Skye Dawson with a 43-yard touchdown pass.

The Horned Frogs' defense then held Tech again and after a punt, TCU ran out the clock.

It was the final game for TCU in the Mountain West Conference.  They'll join the Big 12 next season.

It was one of three bowl games featuring conference champions.  Louisiana Tech won the Western Athletic Conference title, winning seven straight games after a 1-4 start.
