Tatford, Wallace Named UL Student-Athletes of the Year

Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns football player Evan Tatford and softball player Jordan Wallace have been named the male and female student-athletes of the year in a banquet Monday evening.

Coaches from all the sports nominated a student-athlete for the award, which combines performance, academics and community service.

Tatford saw action in all games this past season as a reserve tight end.  He's serving a two year term as the Sun Belt representative on the NCAA Division I Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.  He is a biology major who joined the Cajuns after transferring from Tulane.

Wallace, a senior from Weatherford, TX, is a three time NFCA Scholar All-American. She is the 2015 Outstanding Graduate in the UL Marketing and Hospitality Department.
