New Orleans Saints right tackle Charles Brown was placed on injured reserve yesterday due to a hip flexor he suffered in Sunday's loss to the St. Louis Rams. Brown had started the last 5 games at RT for the Saints in place of an injured Zach Strief. Strief strained his MCL in Week 3, but is now healthy and will return to the starting lineup this Sunday.
New Orleans Saints offensive tackle Charles Brown was thrown into game action in Sunday's win over the Houston Texans when starting right tackle Zach Strief left with an injury. Up to that point, the 2nd year pro had never played more than bunch formation and special team packages. Brown was impressive in his first extended playing time.
