More than 100 million people are expected to watch Super Bowl 54 this weekend. So, in theory, that's a lot of partying going on around the United States. So much so, that an estimated 17 million workers will call in 'sick' to their jobs on Monday. Staying out late, drinking too much, eating too much, you get the picture. That's a lot of efficiency down the drain for the most boring game in history.

In a survey done by The Workforce Institute at Kronos Incorporated, 'Super Bowl Fever' or 'Super Sick Monday' could knock 17.2 million people out of the workforce every Monday after the big game. Also found in the report is that 62% of managers think it's 'funny' when employees call in sick after the game. And another report says that for every 10 minutes employees spend on Super Bowl related activities, companies lose an estimated $296 million in productivity.

Kraft / Heinz even tried to make it a national holiday by starting a petition in 2017! And instead of buying an ad during the Super Bowl, they gave their employees the day off the Monday after. But I guess the real question is, will you be at work on Monday?
