When New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton was suspended by the NFL for his alleged role in "bountygate" the NFL made it pretty clear he could not interact with anyone from the Saints without permission from the league.

In fact, if he had as much as an incidental contact with a player or assistant coach, he had to report it to the league office.

The Hall of Fame induction ceremonies, featuring, among others, former Saints offensive lineman Willie Roaf is this weekend.  And, Payton has been given permission to attend.

Payton, however, cannot attend the Hall of Fame game between the Saints and Arizona Cardinals, nor can he stay at the team hotel or have any football-related interaction with the team.

Payton is scheduled to sit at Roaf's table at the HOF dinner.  He can have social interaction with others who attend.
