Tracy McGrady has signed a contract with the San Antonio Spurs that runs through postseason. San Antonio is looking for depth after releasing small forward Stephen Jackson several days ago.

McGrady, 33, last played in the NBA with the Atlanta Hawks during the 2011-2012 season. While he led the NBA in scoring in 2003-2004 with the Houston Rockets, McGrady never won a single playoff series.

McGrady, nicknamed T- Mac, most recently played in China with the Qingdao DoubleStar Eagles of the Chinese Basketball Association.

The thought of getting beyond the first round of the NBA playoffs appears to have excited T- Mac, as he texted espn.com the following message.

"Whatever happens, I'm just glad to be a part of this environment. [It's] something I never experienced while being my best!"

Easy there Tracy. You haven't won a series yet. San Antonio will be the 2 seed in the Western Conference, and will either face the Rockets, or Los Angeles Lakers in the first round.
