The New Orleans Saints made a roster move on Monday, with the start of the 2017 NFL business year less than 10 days away.

The Saints waived offensive lineman Avery Young.

Signed by the Saints as an undrafted free agent in 2016, Young, who played his college football at Auburn, spent the entire season on the non-football injury list.

The 24-year old Young missed training camp, as well as the early portion of the season, before the Saints kept him on the NFI list with an undisclosed injury.

The 6-foot-6, 305-pound Young is the younger brother of Chicago Bears edge rusher Willie Young.
