Saints To Sign Shane Smith

The New Orleans Saints will soon be adding an extra body to their offensive backfield.

According to Herbie Teope of the Times-Picayune/New Orleans-Advocate, the team will soon sign fullback Shane Smith.

The 6-foot-1, 240-pound Smith, who played his college football at San Jose St., signed with the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent following the 2017 NFL Draft.

A native of Santa Clara, California, Smith appeared in 11 games with the Giants in 2017, including four as a starter, before appearing in two games in 2018.
