The New Orleans Saints could use some decent news on the injury front. In a week when safety Rafael Bush was placed on IR, the Saints may have one of their prized free agent signees on the field Sunday.

Running back C.J. Spiller practiced this week, all be it on a limited basis. He would not confirm whether or not he would play Sunday, but when asked, said, "That's not up to me, to be honest."

Spiller underwent arthroscopic knee surgery in August, putting him on the shelf until this week.

Saints coach Sean Payton noted this morning on a media conference call that Spiller looked good, but made it clear he wasn't confirming whether or not he'd suit up this Sunday versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

While Spiller was limited, safety Jairus Byrd (knee), linebacker Dannell Ellerbe (toe) and cornerback Keenan Lewis (hip) remain OUT, not participating in practice this week.

Tampa Bay's Thursday injury report is as follows: LB Bruce Carter (ribs) full participant, WR Mike Evans (hamstring) limited, CB Mike Jenkins (hamstring) limited, LB Danny Lansanah (ankle) limited, DE T.J. Fatinikun (shoulder) did not participate and S Major Wright (abdomen) did not participate
