The New Orleans Saints had a memorable win on Monday night as they rolled the Washington Redskins as quarterback Drew Brees passed Brett Favre and Peyton Manning as the all-time NFL passing yards leader. With the win, New Orleans moved to 4-1 on the season and are now on a four-game winning streak.

Last week the Saints ranked fourth and this week they've stayed steady at four in the latest ESPN NFL Power Rankings.

The Top Five is as so:

  1. Los Angeles Rams (5-0) Steady at 1
  2. Kansas City Chiefs (5-0) Steady at 2
  3. New England Patriots (3-2) Up two from 5
  4. New Orleans Saints (4-1) Steady at 4
  5. Jacksonville Jaguars (3-2) Down two from 3

The Rams and Chiefs continue to impress so there's no surprise there but I am surprised that the Patriots stayed ahead of the Saints. The Saints are on a four-game winning streak and have a better record than the Pats.

A couple teams who made big leaps were the Chicago Bears, the surprising Bears as they jumped from 10 to seven and they're 3-1. In turn, the Green Bay Packers dropped four spots from nine to 13.

The Saints are on a bye this week but the talk is about how they have the toughest strength of schedule remaining of any other team in the NFL.
