New Orleans Saints punter Thomas Morstead has consistently been one of the best in football at his position since the Saints drafted him in 2009.

However, he often gets overlooked, as the Saints offense has been potent for the bulk of Morstead's career, and he doesn't punt as much as the average NFL punter.

"It was good to punt a lot in a game we won," said Morstead after Sunday's win in Seattle. "Usually when I have to punt a lot in a game, we're not winning."

How good for Morstead on Sunday? His six punts averaged 52 yards a clip, including a 64 yarder. Four of them were downed inside the 20. Two of them were downed inside the 5, one of those two was punted out of bounds at the 2.

For his efforts, Morstead was named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week today.
