Saints Place Garrett Hartley On Injured Reserve

 New Orleans Saints kicker Garrett Hartley was put on injured reserve yesterday. Hartley suffered an unspecified hip injury while kicking an extra point during the preseason. Hartley's agent claims that Hartley recently suffered a set back while rehabbing the injury, leading the Saints place him on IR.

New Orleans also released defensive tackle Mitch King and signed linebacker Ramon Humber and offensive tackle Pat McQuinston.

New Orleans rookie LB Martez Wilson was injured in Sunday's win over the Texans, while starting middle LB Jonathan Vilma sat the game out with an injury. The offensive line lost starters Zach Strief and Olin Kreutz to injury on Sunday.

The Saints play in Jacksonville on Sunday against the Jaguars, the first of three straight road games. Kickoff is set for noon.
