The New Orleans Saints will be without two players for the rest of the playoffs.

The team placed offensive lineman Andrus Peat and defensive lineman Tony McDaniel on injured reserve on Wednesday.

An offensive guard, Andrus Peat suffered a broken left fibula in the team's 31-26 Wild Card Round victory over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Peat went down at the 12:38 mark of the second quarter, prior to which medical personnel came onto the field, and then signaled for the cart.

Before placing Peat on the cart, trainers placed an air cast on Peat's left leg.

Senio Kelemete entered the game and replaced Peat at left guard.

The 24-year old Peat, who the Saints selected in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft, appeared in 15 games this season, including 14 as a starter, after starting 15 games a season ago.

McDaniel totaled three tackles in the Saints' regular season finale, a 31-24 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, before playing in 12 defensive snaps in the Wild Card win against the Panthers on Sunday.

Peat and McDaniel become the 19th and 20th players that the Saints have put on injured reserve this season.

I another move, the Saints elevated defensive tackle Woodrow Hamilton to the 53-man roster from the practice squad

The Saints take on the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday in the Divisional Round.
