Even though the final score didn't end like we wanted, the Saints still started yesterday's NFC Wild Card game with a sweet gesture for sports reporter Carley McCord. McCord, who was freelance reporter for Cox Sports Television, ESPN3, and WDSU in New Orleans, was killed in the plane crash that happened in Lafayette on December 28. She was on her way to cover the LSU Tigers in the Peach Bowl. Her funeral was held in Baton Rouge over the weekend.

A press box seat with a bouquet of flowers was reserved with her name on it yesterday for the Saints game, and also for the Sugar Bowl, which was held in New Orleans on January 1st.
