A free agent receiver says the New Orleans Saints are interested in his services.

Former Jacksonville receiver Allen Hurns, who was released by the Jaguars on Tuesday, told WFNZ Radio out of Charlotte that the Saints are among seven teams that are interested in signing him.

Other than the Saints, Hurns said the Bears, Bills, Jets, Raiders, Panthers, and Texans were also interested in him.

A native of Miami, Florida, Hurns attended the University of Miami (Florida), before signing as an undrafted free agent with the Jaguars following the 2014 NFL Draft.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Hurns got off to a fast start with the Jaguars, catching 51 passes for 677 yards and 6 touchdowns as a rookie in 2014, before compiling 64 receptions for 1,031 yards and 10 touchdowns, all career-highs, in 2015.

After signing a 4-year, $40 million contract extension with the Jaguars prior to the 2016 season, Hurns' production dropped off, as he caught 35 passes for 477 yards, both career-lows, in 2016, and then followed that last season with 39 receptions for 484 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Over four NFL seasons, Hurns has accumulated 189 catches for 2,669 yards and 21 touchdowns.

Weather has forced a change of plans however, and now Hurns will be visiting another team you can add to the list of interested teams, the Dallas Cowboys.
