After the New Orleans Saints selected offensive lineman Terron Armstead with the 75th overall pick, many fans thought New Orleans' drafting was done until Saturday's fourth round. About 15 minutes later, the Saints pulled the trigger on a trade that sent running back Chris Ivory to the New York Jets in exchange for their fourth rounder (106th overall). Shortly thereafter, Sean Payton and crew packaged that pick along with their 4th round pick (109th overall) to the Miami Dolphins for their 3rd rounder (82nd) overall.

With the 82nd pick, the Saints selected Georgia defensive tackle John Jenkins (pictured left). Jenkins is a massive 6-4, 346 pound DT who New Orleans will surely plug in the middle of their 3-4 defense on running downs.

"I think with John, what is impressive is he has size, but has good initial quickness. He’s someone that’s a hard worker, good character. It’s important to him," explained Payton. "I think the thing that all of us, scouts and coaches saw when we read on him and watched tape on him is his get off and initial quickness being something that stands out. I like the size in the player. We’ve talked about getting bigger and I think that this is one step in that direction.”
