Veteran safety Rafael Bush is returning to the New Orleans Saints, according to his Instagram account.

Bush played for the Saints from 2012 to 2015, playing in 40 games at safety and on special teams.

His last season with the Saints was cut short after he was injured in the season opener and was placed on injured reserve the rest of the year.

Last offseason, he left New Orleans after signing with the Detroit Lions where he played all 16 games, starting 4.

The 29 year old joins a Saints stable of safeties that includes Vonn Bell, Kenny Vacarro, Chris Banjo, Robenson Therezie, Erik Harris and Shiloh Keo.
