Ron Guidry, former superstar pitcher for the New York Yankees, will join Jay Walker on Bird's Eye View today at 3:00.

Guidry, a Carencro native, played two seasons with the Ragin' Cajuns at USL in the early 70s. He will be inducted into the Louisiana Ragin' Cajun Hall of Fame this Saturday.

A standout pitcher in 14 MLB seasons with New York, Guidry was the 1978 Cy Young Award winner, a 4-time All-Star and 5 time Gold Glove award winner.

With a career record of 170-91, including a 25-3 record in 1978 when he won the Cy Young, Guidry is revered in New York, as his #49 was retired by the Yankees 12 years ago.
