Free agent second baseman Robinson Cano has agreed to a 10-year, $240 million contract with the Seattle Mariners, a deal which would be the third-richest in Major League Baseball history.

The 31-year old Cano has spent the entirety of his nine year career playing for the New York Yankees, where he hit for a career average of .309, with 204 home runs, and 822 RBI's, while accumulating 1,649 hits.

Cano is a five-time All-Star second baseman, who hit a .314 last season, with 27 homers and 107 RBIs.

Cano has also won five Silver Slugger Awards, as well as two Gold Gloves.
