Willie Roaf is not dismayed about missing out on the Hall of Fame. In his first year of eligibility, the former New Orleans Saint and Kansas City Chief offensive tackle made the final 10 cut, but was not among the 7 electees. Nakia Hogan of the Times Picayune has more.

Although he was not elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame on his first-year of eligibility when the selection committee voted on Saturday, former New Orleans Saints and Kansas City Chiefs All Pro offensive tackle Willie Roaf said he isn't upset.

"I enjoyed the process. I enjoyed doing all the interviews leading up to seeing if I got in or not," Roaf said. "It just wasn't time for me to get in. I had a lot of fun. Next year we'll just see what happens."

Willie will get in. It's not a matter of if, but when. Being that he made the final 10 cut in his first year, I suspect the ultimate football honor will come sooner rathern than later for the New Orleans Saint great.
