Rickie Fowler held off Sergio Garcia and outlasted Kevin Kisner through four holes of bonus golf to win the Players Championship, sudden death style.

After 72 holes of golf at TPC Sawgrass, Fowler rallied from five strokes back to force a three-hole playoff with Garcia and Kisner. The player who casual fans got to know as the flashy dressing youngster in the Puma gear showed that his game has more than just sizzle. There's some steak there too.

Garcia couldn't come up with a birdie to keep pace through the three-hole playoff, so it came down to Fowler and Kisner on the course's most famous hole. Both players plopped their ball on the island green at 17, but Kisner missed his putt. Fowler's tee shot landed closer to the pin, and he sank the putt to put things to bed. He finished off a day where he shot five strokes under par and hushed some of his critics on the PGA Tour with a (-12) performance on the big stage.

Fowler is no longer the youngster on tour with the floppy surfer hair. He's grown up, cut the hair short and ditched the orange on Sundays.

We all should have seen the victory coming though, after this little guy decided to endorse Fowler down the stretch. This squirrel was just trying to help Rickie find his glove.
