The opening weekend of the Sun Belt Conference is in the books and overall, it wasn't a bad weekend.  No team got swept in their opening series.  Only five of the 12 teams won their series, but the league went 22-17 overall.

The Mike Federico Era got off to a good start in dramatic fashion in Monroe and Troy flexed some early season muscle.  South Alabama and Coastal Carolina had good success against very good competition and Georgia State started out with a winning weekend.

APPALACHIAN STATE (1-2) at UNC-Greensboro (1-2) Lost 10-5, Lost 11-6, Won 6-4.

ARKANSAS STATE (1-2) vs. Illinois State (1-2) Won 1-0, Lost 18-3, Lost 11-4

COASTAL CAROLINA (3-0) vs. Virginia Tech Won 17-2, vs. Oklahoma Won 4-3 (10), vs. Kansas State Won 4-3 (Plays Indiana today.)

GEORGIA STATE (2-1) vs. Bradley Won 3-1, vs. UCONN Lost 10-1, vs. Minnesota Won 9-6.

GEORGIA SOUTHERN (1-2) at Georgia--Lost 22-9, Won 8-3, Lost 4-3

LITTLE ROCK (1-2) at Tennessee Tech: Lost 7-3, Won 7-4, Lost 17-7

LOUISIANA (1-2) vs. TEXAS Lost 3-0, Lost 5-3, Won 2-1

ULM (2-1) vs. Eastern Illinois: Won 4-3, Won 7-6, Lost 6-5

SOUTH ALABAMA (3-1) vs. Kansas State Won 12-5, vs. Oklahoma Won 6-5 (12), vs. Virginia Tech Won 7-5, vs. Indiana Lost 8-4

UTA (1-2) vs. TAMU-CC:  Lost 9-7, Won 6-3, Lost 2-1

TEXAS STATE (1-2) vs. Oklahoma State:  Lost 6-2, Won 10-1, Lost 6-5

TROY (4-0) vs. Tennessee-Martin:  Won 14-2, 10-4, 6-2, 10-1
